Damiana is also called Turnera Diffusa, it is a low plant with yellow flowers and fragrant leaves. This plant occurs naturally in the subtropical climates of Central and South America, but also in the Caribbean. The herb has been used in herbal medicine for many centuries to increase sex drive.
The effects of damiana could be compared to a mild form of the effects of cannabis. Damiana could also have an aphrodisiac effect, which would increase sexual feelings.
How are these herbs used?
In general, damiana is used in two different ways. Tea can be made from it by steeping a number of tea spoons of damiana in hot water. But damiana is also used as a tobacco substitute because it does not contain nicotine. The ideal evaporation temperature is around 185°C
